Meet The Chairperson
Mr. Manan Thakur is a young diplomat and research enthusiast deeply engaged in international policy discourse. He has contributed to initiatives associated with the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime, offering perspectives on addressing global crises through collaborative frameworks.
He also serves as one of the youngest research analysts associated with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, conducting research and policy-oriented studies. With over five years of experience in Model United Nations and policy debates, he combines diplomacy with academic rigor. Currently pursuing a BSc (Hons.) in Economics at Symbiosis Pune, he also leads financial literacy initiatives and works with NGOs to empower young learners through education and research engagement.

Meet The Vice Chairperson
In an era where global discourse is shaped as much by strategy as by speech, Shaurya P. Veer steps into the role of Vice Chairperson of the UNW Committee at SCIMUN 2026 with a firm commitment to purposeful diplomacy and disciplined debate.
A dedicated student leader, debater, and writer, Shaurya views every committee as more than a forum — it is a space where ideas, responsibility, and leadership intersect. With strong experience in debating, academic competitions, and editorial work, he brings clarity, structure, and intellectual depth to every discussion.
Currently serving as Secretary of the Ecology Club at The Scindia School and Student Editor at Tech Vault AI Magazine, Shaurya actively promotes sustainability, innovation, and informed dialogue. These roles have strengthened his ability to lead with balance, empathy, and professionalism.
Deeply interested in global governance, law, and social impact, Shaurya encourages delegates to move beyond surface-level rhetoric and engage in thoughtful, solution-oriented negotiations that reflect real-world complexities.
As Vice Chairperson, Shaurya is committed to fostering an environment where preparation is valued, procedure is upheld, and meaningful participation is rewarded.
